SECRETS IN THE OFFICE

February 21st, 2008 by admin

Poor Jim. It seems as if every day he looses another inch of his hairline. Anyone can tell that he is extremely depressed about it. No one will say anything because he is obviously so upset about it and it seemed as if there was nothing he could do about it. It didn’t bother me that he was going bald, but then again, it wasn’t my head of hair. If it had been me I probably would have done the same thing he did. The day Jim left for vacation was the happiest I have ever seen him. Jim was all smiles when he popped his head in my cubicle to say goodbye. I should have known something was up. He was getting transplants for hair loss. When Jim returned two weeks later he wore a cap every day due to “sunburn” that he received in Cancun. It only took a few days to realize that his “sunburn” was really surgery. Jim asked if I wanted to see. It was like Pandora’s Box. You know you shouldn’t open it but, really what other option do you have? As Jim was lifting his cap I immediately regretted my decision. All I saw were little hair follicles placed into where he was previously bald. It looked horrible. Jim made me promise not to tell anyone. I don’t think I could even if I wanted to. What I saw on Jim’s head wasn’t a hair transplant, it was something out of a horror movie and I sure as heck didn’t want to share that with anyone. After a while I assumed that others guessed what was going on. Jim really wasn’t that burned and the cap was overkill. It didn’t seem as if Jim minded that the others knew. Jim was in a much better mood for the next few weeks. When he finally took his cap off he looked like a new person.
